After a long silence, we are pleased to announce that we have completed one of the most challenging systems in our game: the shield and defense mechanics.
After a long silence, we’re happy to announce that we’ve finally completed one of the most challenging systems in the game: the shield and defense mechanics.
Due to the extended attack range of two-handed weapons — and mechanics like knockback — we decided to redesign how shields work. Instead of being held in the left hand, shields are now carried on the back.
You can still equip a shield while using a two-handed weapon. However, in this setup, you won’t be able to activate the shield’s “Shield Formation” passive ability.
This way, shields remain part of your build strategy — but positioning and weapon choice truly matter.

In addition to this, we’ve completed the designs for over 25 different shield types in the game!
This gives players the opportunity to experiment with a wide variety of shields during combat and shape their playstyle accordingly. And we’re excited to share even more updates and new additions with you in the near future.
